Craftmanship and Standards
Prolana mattresses are hand made to order in their German fctory. The mattresses have the QUL Seal of Approval in Germany for natural Latex mattresses and the organic Cottons (kbA) and organic Merino Lambs-wools (kbT) used in the mattresses are IVN certified and monitored by IMO, as are their production facilities. Their mattresses have achieved the the BS 7177 flame retardancy standard. Free of Chemical Additives and Antimony All of the materials used to make their mattresses are natural and organic, without the addition or use of any chemical additives whatsoever. Similarly, they do not use any surface flame retardancy treatments, such as Antimony.
Prolana makes sure that the materials they use are regularily tested for harmful residues by the renowned Eco-Institute in Cologne Germany.
PROLANA are fully dedicated to only using healthy materials which have been produced without harming the environment or by exploiting people, trading fairly and using highest quality standards.
The bed frames and slatted baed bases are made by Shiva, a subsidiary company of Versigo GmbH, who are based on the German/Polish border. The bed frames and the frames of the slatted bases are all made from solid Beech or Cherry woods from FSC forested timber grown in the same region.The slats on the bases are made from the same Beech wood, but are glue layered because the slats are sprung and arced. |
