Pungent , sweet and very distinct, cardamon is traditionally used in many indian dishes ranging from whole pods in curries and tea, or ground in sweetmeats and as a spice for tea/coffee. Across the world it is also used in breads. Try a tiny pinch in your coffee with added cream or when cooking apple pie. Or if you use whole pods, don't eat them at the end, they may be a bit strong.
